Alexandra Lily

Welcome, I am here to encourage and tell parents that you, in your strength and love driven determination, are the best advocate for your child. No one knows your child’s story better than you, and I am here to listen. I began my journey as a mother of a child with special needs. Our life was turned upside down when my son, only 3-years-old, was diagnosed with epilepsy. At age 7 he was diagnosed with a moderate intellectual disability and then at age 8, he underwent brain surgery. Over the course of time I became a person of many titles. Some have called me strong, driven, determined, a secretary, a financial analyst, an accountant, an advocate, a decision maker, and even the ultimate CEO of the life of a little boy named Cameron. During that time, Google became my best friend as I researched everything I could possibly do for my son. When I came across NeuroDevelopmental Movement, his life began to make sense and I excitedly began to explore this amazing program. I was determined not to surrender to a label of "intellectual disability" and I was ready to do the work necessary to address the injury to his brain. My son began this program and I soon realized that I myself wanted to train as a Developmental Movement Consultant - not only helping him but others as well. I will never give up on my son as I know you will never give up on your children. NeuroDevelopmental Movement, which is based on the normal neurological developmental sequence, gave us hope when the world said there was none. I am here now to extend hope to you. Children are so much more than labels and I truly believe there is life beyond labels, limitations and loss. I look forward to working with you and hearing your story.
