Bette Lamont

I found this work 33 years ago when I met my teacher Florence Scott, R.N., who was helping children and adults recover from neurological problems in a way that was more thorough, deeper, and sometimes beyond what I had ever before experienced. I immediately became her apprentice and in the years since my training I have had the privilege of helping thousands of children recover from brain injuries, neurodevelopmental disorders, delays, traumas, neurological syndromes, spectrum disorders, abuse, strokes, physical disabilities and attachment disorders.  My career has been full of the kinds of successes that cause me to wake up loving my work every day.

After practicing for 2 years in Northern California, I moved for 6 months to Oregon to become an administrator for Ms. Scott's agency in Woodburn Oregon, then moved (home) to Seattle to found the Developmental Movement Center. Two years later I was joined by a colleague, Nina Jonio and together we formed a non-profit agency by the same name.

Since 2008 I have been working not only from my home base in Seattle, but also throughout the United States and in England, bringing this marvelous work to families as a one-on-one parent consultant, an international trainer, lecturer at conferences and doing interviews for radio, TV. In England, I participated in the creation of two films about the work.

The ability of NeuroDevelopmental Movement/AKA Neurological Reorganization to change lives, to see the true and authentic child or adult unfolding from the confusion of trauma, injury and delay is the best career I could ever imagine.

I continue to see clients one on one, and during the 2020 pandemic we have been successfully working online and get marvelous results. I am also working to bring the information to parenting during early infancy my new Brain Nanny service, under development at this time, will bring positive and developmentally appropriate infant care to those families where parents return to work before the child's age of 3 years.

I look forward to talking to you about how I can help your children, yourself and your family. I am available online and hopefully soon in person, and offer a limited number of free 30 minute screenings each month. Initial assessments are 3 - 4 hours in length and we reassess our clients every 2 - 3 months. I hope that you will take the time to find out more by contacting me.
