Sandy Smith

I love working with children. Through my own family, I have had the opportunity to face many challenges…developmental delays, behavioral challenges, sensory issues, tantrums, traumas, academic challenges, and more. As a teacher for 18 years, I worked with many children and their families. I always seemed to be drawn to the most challenging children, the ones with behavioral, sensory or developmental challenges. What I saw with my students and their families was the same experience I had in my own family. Even with the best of interventions, progress was slow and never seemed to be complete. 

 When I learned about NeuroDevelopmental Movement®, it was like a light bulb lit up. “This is the missing piece I’ve been looking for!” That piece of the puzzle is the Developmental Sequence…the incredibly important way that human beings grow and develop.  We know how important the first two years of life are in brain development, but it is fascinating to look at how that specific time period in life impacts us throughout our entire life. Now, thanks to the brain’s amazing neuroplasticity, we can help children (and families) fill in the gaps…the missing pieces of their unique puzzle.
